Densest weave, for maximum UV and glare blocking with minimal visibility through the shade. Best for extreme west-facing exposure or spaces where privacy matters most. You lose the view but gain the most protection.

You will see this product sold under both names, and the distinction is mostly marketing. A sheer shade and a solar shade are the same construction: a single flat panel of open-weave fabric that filters the sun instead of blocking it.
Some makers use "sheer" when the weave is looser and the room stays brighter, and "solar" when the weave is tighter and the emphasis is on heat and glare. Both are the same product at different openness levels.
